Degree in Pharmacy and Biochemistry - Clinical and Toxicological Analysis modality from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences (1979), a master's degree in Nuclear Technology from the University of São Paulo (1983) and a PhD in Basic Nuclear Technology from the Institute of Energy and Nuclear Research (1995). She is currently a postgraduate course advisor at the University of São Paulo and a researcher at the Institute of Energy and Nuclear Research. She was manager of the Biotechnology Center (1999-2001) and deputy manager of Research, Development and Innovation at the Radiation Technology Center (2013-2018). Participating member of the committees CE 26: 090.01 Sterilization of Health Products (2012-2013) and CE26: 070.03 Implants and Biological Substitutes (since 2013), of ABNT - Brazilian Association of Technical Standards. Coordinator of research activities on the effects of ionizing radiation on biological tissues. She has experience in the area of #8203;#8203;Morphology, with emphasis on Cytology and Cell Biology, working mainly on the following topics: tissue banks, effects of ionizing radiation on biological tissues, microbiological inactivation (mainly of viruses and bacteria) by ionizing radiation, cell culture, keratinocytes, melanocytes, fibroblasts, Langerhans, ADSCs, dermo-epidermal substitutes, organ-on-a-chip and tissue engineering.
