Victor Pellegrini Mammana has a Bachelor degree in Physics from the Physics Institute of the University of S. Paulo (IFUSP 1993), MSc from IFUSP (1996) and PhD in Sciences from IFUSP (2000). His thesis work was done at the Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory, Berkeley, California, from 1998 to 2000, where he contributed in the development of new processes and new materials for field emission. He was a researcher at the International Technology Center (ITC), in Triangle Park, North Carolina, USA, from 2002 to 2004, working on projects related to advanced materials. He was the Chief of the Display Division of the Center for Information Technology where he led projects in flexible displays, field emission displays, touch screens, tablets, solar cells, etc.,He has contributions for the area of education and human factors. He was Director of CTI from 2011 to 2018. He was a member of the Brazilian evaluation committee for the Projects ?One Laptop Per Child? (OLPC), proposed by Media Lab/MIT. He led the committee for the implementation of the Brazilian Productive Development Policy for Displays (PDP Program 3) in which participated MCT, ABDI, BNDES and MDIC. He was Chairman of the Latin American Chapter of the Society for Information Display and contributed for its creation. He was referee of several scientific periodicals. He is author of several scientific papers and patents. His paper on new structures for field emission displays received the ?Best Poster Award? from the Society for Information Display (SID) at Asia Display 2001, in Nagoia, Japan. He participated in several international conferences and scientific symposiums as invited speaker, paper contributor, organizer or chairman. He got a Presidential Citation Award from SID in Los Angeles, USA, at the Display Week 2011 opening session. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
