Birthplace: Brazil

Graduate in Medicine at Federal University of Parana (1989), Boarding in Pediatrics (1993), in Pediatric Endocrinology (2004), and in Adolescent Medicine (2007). Did her Ph.D. at the Department of Experimental Medicine from McGill University (2000) and her Post Doctorate at the Department of Developmental Medicine at Harvard Medical School (2016). From 2001 to 2019 was the chief of the Pediatric Endocrinology Laboratory at the Center for Investigation in Pediatrics, Faculty of Medical Science, University of Campinas. Since 2005 is the Professor in charge of the Adolescent Medicine Unit at the Department of Pediatrics, State University of Campinas (UNICAMP). Coordinated the Post-Graduate Program of Child and Adolescent Health at the Faculty of Medical Science (2010-2014). Was a visiting Scientist at the Department of Developmental Medicine, Boston Children's Hospital, and Visiting Assistant Professor at the Department of Pediatrics, Harvard Medical School, Boston, USA (2014-2016). In 2022 she made her dissertation entitled Let's Take Care of Our Adolescents and was promoted to Associate Professor I. Her works focus on Pediatrics, Adolescent Medicine, and Pediatric Endocrinology, acting on the following subjects: Neuroeducation, community intervention for adolescent risk behavior prevention, and bone mineral research.
