She holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the University of São Paulo (1987), a Master's degree in Chemistry from the State University of Campinas (1990), and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the State University of Campinas (1992). She completed her postdoctoral research at the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research, Mainz, Germany (19931995), and at the Polymer Institute, University of Karlsruhe, Germany (19961998). She obtained her habilitation at the University of São Paulo in 2004. Since 2014, she has been a Full Professor at the University of São Paulo.She has experience in the field of Chemistry, with an emphasis on Interface Chemistry, working mainly on the following topics: adsorption, films, polysaccharides, hydrogels, and porous materials. From March 2014 to February 2018, she was the coordinator of the Master's Program in the Professional Master's Program in Technology in Chemistry and Biochemistry at IQUSP (MPT-IQUSP). Since 2023, she has been a Project Manager at the EMBRAPII Unit of IQUSP, IQSint-USP. Since March 2022, she has been a full member of the Coordination Committee of MPT-IQUSP. Since 2024, she has been the Vice President of the Management Committee of the Analytical Center at IQUSP. From June 2022 to December 2024, she served as a member of the editorial board of the Biomacromolecules, Biobased and Biodegradable Polymers section of the journal Polymers (MDPI). Since 2023, she has been a member of the Management Committee of the INCT Polysaccharides. Since September 2020, she has been an Associate Editor of the journal Cellulose (Springer-Nature). Since May 2021, she has been a member of the Editorial Board of Carbohydrate Polymers (Elsevier). Since January 2025, she has been a member of the Editorial Advisory Board of ACS Applied Materials Interfaces.
