I hold a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from the University of São Paulo (1995), a Teaching degree in Biological Sciences from the University of São Paulo (1995), a Master's degree in Sciences (with an emphasis on Botany) from the University of São Paulo (1999), and a PhD in Sciences (with an emphasis on Botany) from the University of São Paulo (2004). Associate Researcher at the Royal Botanical Gardens, Kew (United Kingdom). In 2012, I obtained the title of Associate Professor from the Department of Biology, FFCLRP-USP. Currently, I am a Full Professor at the Faculty of Philosophy, Sciences, and Letters of Ribeirão Preto (FFCLRP-USP). I have experience in Botany, with an emphasis on Spermatophyte Systematics, working mainly on the following topics: taxonomy, phylogeny, and floristics, Rutaceae, and Aquifoliaceae. Curator of the Herbarium of the Department of Biology at FFCLRP-USP (Herbarium SPFR) and Head of the Laboratory of Plant Systematics in the same department. Coordinator of the Graduate Program in Comparative Biology (2019-2023) and Chair of the Teaching Improvement Program (PAE) Committee at FFCLRP-USP (2019-2023). Currently, I am Chair of the Research and Innovation Committee at FFCLRP-USP, Vice-Head of the Department of Biology at FFCLRP-USP, and a representative of the FFCLRP Congregation on the University Council (CO-USP).
