Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP). Instituto de Biologia (IB)  (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal)
Birthplace: Brazil

I am BsC in Biological Sciences (2011) from the Universidade Federal da Paraíba (UFPB), MsC in Botany (2014) from the Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (UNESP), and PhD in Sciences (2019) from the Naturalis Biodiversity Center / Leiden University, the Netherlands. I have 4 post-docs from UNESP, from the University of Quebec à Chicoutimi, Canada, and from the Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP). Ive been adjunct professor in the subject of Plant Anatomy in the Universidade de Brasília (UnB) (2023). Currently, I am a post-doc supported by FAPESP, at UNICAMP, investigating the xylem-phloem structural and functional relationship in the performance of cerrado species. Me research area focuses on the relationship between structure (anatomy) and function (physiology) of vascular systems as a basis to understand plant ecological performance, and it is composed by interrelated thematic axes: i) ecological wood anatomy; ii) relationships between xylem structure and function in plant resistance to drought-induced embolism; iii) phloem structural and functional relationships in plant performance. I have research collaborators across different regions in Brazil, as well as international collaborations, in the Netherlands, in France, in the USA and in Mexico. By the end of my PhD Ive published a thesis book "Functional Xylem Anatomy: intra and interspecific variation in stems of herbaceous and woody species". (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
