Douglas Altamiro Consolo

Graduate at Linguistics from UNICAMP - Universidade Estadual de Campinas (1986), master's at Applied Linguistics from UNICAMP - Universidade Estadual de Campinas (1990) and Ph.d. at Applied Linguistics and TEFL from the University of Reading, UK (1996). Postdoctoral fellowship work at UNICAMP (Brazil), at the University of Melbourne (Australia) and at the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico (Mexico City, Mexico). Has experience in Applied Linguistics and Linguistics, acting on the following subjects: foreign language teaching, teacher education, English language, Portuguese as a foreign language, language learning and language assessment. At present works as a lecturer in English and Applied Linguistics, and academic supervisor (MA, PhD and PostDoctoral candidates) at UNESP, the State University of Sao Paulo, where he also teaches Portuguese as a foreign language (PFL) courses and supervises training teachers in the area of PFL for the IBILCE-UNESP Language Centre.
