JGCB graduated in Medicine (1987) from the University of São Paulo, MSc (1993) and PhD (1997) in Comparative Physiology of Energy Metabolism from the Institute of Biosciences of the University of São Paulo and PhD (2006) in Electrical Engineering from the Polytechnic School of the University from Sao Paulo. He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Physiology at the Institute of Biosciences of the University of São Paulo. Has experience in General, Comparative and Cardiovascular Physiology and Energy Metabolism, with emphasis on the following topics: mathematical modeling, dynamic systems, entropy generation in biological processes, biological scale, temperature effects.
