Holds a degree in Meteorology from the University of São Paulo (1997) and a doctorate in Environmental Sciences from Wageningen University and Research Centre, Netherlands (2007). Has experience in the area of #8203;#8203;Geosciences, with emphasis on Micrometeorology and Biosphere-Atmosphere Interaction, mainly working on the following topics: Surface fluxes, Eddy Covariance and Studies of Carbon and Water Cycles and Interaction with the climate system, using different methods of observation and analysis of remote sensing data and terrestrial biosphere models. Currently holds the position of Head of the Impacts, Adaptation and Vulnerability Division of the National Institute for Space Research (INPE), managing approximately 100 researchers, promoting and improving integrated activities of observation, modeling, scenarios and synthesis in the context of the Earth system.
