She holds a degree in Biochemical Pharmacy from the University of São Paulo (1999), a PhD in Biological Sciences (Microbiology) from the University of São Paulo (2004) and a Post-Doctorate in Bacteriology from the Butantã Institute (2007). She is an Associate Professor in the Department of Microbiology of the Institute of Biomedical Sciences of the University of São Paulo. Experience in clinical microbiology, with an emphasis on the host-pathogen relationship.
