Maria da Luz Rosario de Sousa

CNPq Research Productivity Scholarship - Level 2. Graduated in Dentistry from the State University of Campinas (1986), Master's in Public Health from the University of São Paulo (1992) and Doctorate in Public Health from the University of São Paulo (1995). She obtained her Post Doctorate from the University College of London in the area of Epidemiology (1997). She obtained her Professorship in 2001. She is currently a full professor (since 05/04/2006) at the Faculty of Dentistry of the State University of Campinas (FOP / UNICAMP). Specialist in integrative and complementary practices in the area of Acupuncture (2015). She teaches classes in the Pre-Clinical III subjects on the use of Preventive Methods in Communities, DM021 on the Concept of Health and DS062 Preventive Dentistry and Public Health for the undergraduate Dentistry course. She works in the subjects of Health and Community 1, 2,3 and 4, Collective Health Seminars, Basic and Advanced Epidemiology for the Postgraduate course in Dentistry at FOP / UNICAMP. She is an accredited advisor in the Postgraduate Program in Dentistry at FOP / UNICAMP. She has experience in the area of Dentistry, with an emphasis on Public Oral Health, working mainly on the following topics: fluorides, fluorosis, oral health, tooth decay, epidemiology, caries risk, gerontology, acupuncture and chi kung.
