graduation at Biomedicina (2003), a PhD in Biological Sciences (Microbiology) from the University of São Paulo (2010) with a doctoral internship at Universität Bayreuth Lehrstuhl für Genetik, Germany (2005-2006), and a post-doctorate at Naval Medical Research Center, USA (2010) and Department of Microbiology at the University of São Paulo, as a researcher in the research group on Genetics of Microorganisms and the Center for Vaccine Development and Gene Therapy (CEVAT-Gene) (2010-2014). He is currently a member of the Vaccine Research Center at USP, adjunct professor in Medical Microbiology at UESC, was a permanent member of the PPG in Biology and Biotechnology at UESC (PPGBBM 2014-2020), member of the Scientific Committee of the Northeast for the fight against COVID-19. 19, member of the Internal Biosafety Commission (CIBio), of the Nucleus of Technological Innovation of UESC (NIT) and member of the Brazilian Society of Microbiology (SBM). He was Coordinator of the Graduate Program in Biology and Biotechnology of Microorganisms (PPGBBM, 2016-2018 and 2018-2020) at the State University of Santa Cruz (Ilhéus/BA), member of the Ethics Committee on Research with Human Beings ( CEP/UESC, 2014-2017). He has experience in the areas of Microbiology, Medical Microbiology, Nanotechnology with biotic particles, Vaccinology and Genetics, with an emphasis on Molecular and Microorganism Genetics. He works in research related to serological and molecular diagnostic methods, including artificial neural networks, in the development of vaccine strategies aimed at controlling infectious diseases, antimicrobial resistance mechanisms, in recombinant protein expression systems and in research involving biotechnological innovations with endospores of the genus Bacillus, including the biological control of arboviruses and the development of an artificial neural network for screening and monitoring health status.
