Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences - Modality Molecular Biology from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP - 2000) and PhD in Biology - Genetics from the University of São Paulo (USP - 2006). She is currently an Associate Professor at FCF / USP and was coordinator of the Graduate Program in Biochemical-Pharmaceutical Technology 06/2019-06/2021(CAPES 5.0 in the Pharmacy Area ). She has experience in the area of Molecular Biology with emphasis on the Study of Molecular and Biological Functions of Genes involved with cellular processes such as: cancer and drug resistance. She conducts research with the heterologous production of proteins in microorganisms such as bacteria and yeasts and the engineering of proteins to produce biopharmaceuticals, such as the enzyme asparaginase, used in the treatment of acute lymphoid leukemia.
