She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from the Federal University of Ceará - UFC (1989) and a Degree in Chemistry from the State University of Ceará UECE (1989). Holds a Master's degree in Science from the Institute of Chemistry of the University of São Paulo - USP São Carlos (1993) and a PhD in Analytical Chemistry from the Federal University of São Carlos - UFSCAR, São Carlos campus (1999), with a Sandwich internship at Northeastern University, in Boston, Massachusetts (1995-1996). She is currently a professor at the Department of Natural Sciences, Mathematics and Education, at the Federal University of São Carlos, Araras campus, and is one of the coordinators of the Laboratory of Polymeric Materials and Biosorbents - Lab-MPB, of which she is responsible for the Biosorbents Group. Currently, she works in the development of adsorbent materials prepared from biomass residues and magnetic nanoparticles, used in the decontamination of the aqueous environment. She has experience in the area of Analytical Chemistry, with emphasis on Spectrometric Methods, Sample Preparation and Analytical Instrumentation. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
