He holds a degree in Food Engineering from the University of Tocantins (2000), a master's degree in Food Engineering from the State University of Campinas (2002), a PhD in Food Engineering from the State University of Campinas (2005) and a postdoctoral degree in Food Science from the Federal University of Lavras (UFLA). He is currently a Full Professor at the School of Agronomy of the Federal University of Goiás. Advisor of undergraduate, master's and doctoral students. He is a member of the faculty of the Graduate Programs in Food Science and Technology (PPGCTA) and the Graduate Program in Agronomy (PPGA). Evaluator (National Bank of Evaluators of SINAES - BASIs/MEC/INEP) of undergraduate courses: Bachelor's or Bachelor's Degree with instrument of authorization, recognition and renewal of recognition. He has experience in the area of Food Science and Technology, with emphasis on Food Engineering. He is currently working in the following lines of research: Post-harvest, Use of by-products and agro-industrial waste; Development and evaluation of the quality of beverages; Processing and evaluation of the quality of products derived from fruits and vegetables; Technology of grains, roots, tubers and derived products; Use and evaluation of the quality of fruits of the Cerrado and derived products. Participates in the ad hoc consultant groups of the journals: Food and Bioprocess Techonology, Journal of Food Processing and Preservation, Journal of Agricultural Science and Technology, Journal of Food Engineering, Tropical Agricultural Research and Food Science and Technology.
