Bachelor of Music (Composition and Conducting qualification) from UNESP (1998). FAPESP Scholarship for Scientific Initiation, developing a Musical Composition project (1996 - 1998). Master in Music (concentration area, Composition) by UFBA (2002). PhD in Music (concentration area, Composition) at UFBA, with CAPES scholarship (2007). Professor at UFRN since 2009 (contest area, Composition, Music Technology). Coordinator of Undergraduate Music Courses (11/2011 - 02/2014). Founding member of PPGMUS at UFRN, guiding masters students in Line 2: Processes and Dimensions of Artistic Production (from 2013 to 2022). Founding member of BRAVO (UFRN Composers Group), which he also coordinated between 2011 and 2015, and in 2023 on. In the academic year 2015 - 2016 he did a postdoctoral internship in the USA, with a CAPES / Fulbright scholarship, at the Music Department at the University of California at San Diego (UCSD), developing a computational interpretation of the Schillinger System of Musical Composition.
