CNPq Productivity Fellow since 2012, Daniel P. Silva is an Industrial Chemical Engineer (FAENQUIL 1993-97, current EEL/USP), Master in Tech. Bioq.-Pharmaceutical (FCF/USP 1998-00, FAPESP), PhD in Ind. Biotechnology (EEL/USP 2001-05, FAPESP), with Post-Doctorate (2006-2009, support FCT/Gov. Portugal) in Eng. Chemistry/Biology at the Biological Engineering Center of the Univ. of Minho UMINHO/Portugal and interactions with different national/international researchers throughout its trajectory. Daniel has a formal relationship as a Prof. Associate at the Center for Exact Sciences and Technology at Univ. Federal of Sergipe. Leader of a Research Group/CNPq entitled Integration of Biotechnological Processes, has consolidated research in interactions between engineering areas. chemistry and biochemistry/biology, aiming for better use of agricultural/agro-industrial waste, including as Coord./Fund. from the Biomass, Bioproduct and Bioenergy Lab L3Bio/UFS. Teacher/Researcher in 3 Programs Postgraduate Course: Prop Science Intellectual PPGPI/UFS, Biotechnology PROBIO/UFS, and RENORBIO/SE, and collaborating member of the international institution CISAS Center for Research and Development in AgriFood Systems and Sustainability, Polytechnic Institute of Viana do Castelo/Portugal. In view of its technical-scientific activities with participation in technological development and innovative extension activities, the following notes are observed: Regarding its Technological and Innovation Production_ 2 Patent Licensings for companies via separate contracts; 5 Patents Granted (2019-1; 2022-3 and 2023-1); 21 Patent Deposits; 3 Reg. Softwares (2017; 2021 and 2023), 2 Org. Books (2019; 2022); 42 Chapter books; 100 Articles distributed in 58 different scientific journals resulting in 1,500 citations (Factor 21 H-index/Scopus). It is noteworthy that 75 of the publications are in Journals-JCR (Clarivate Analytics), of which 10 have an Impact Factor >6.0, 15 have an Impact Factor >4.0 and 58 have an Impact Factor >2.0. Of the total publications, 90 have the Qualis-CAPES metric, 70 of which were destroyed between A1/A4, of which 48 were between A1/A2. Regarding awards, 1st place in the CNPq National Awards for the best PIBITI-oriented project in 2017 [exact, earth and engineering sciences] stands out, in addition to several other awards. Regarding its Technology Transfer Activities to the Private/Public Sector_ it has in its history actions related to partnership contracts and involvement in initiatives for Technology Transfer, as well as interactions with different regional companies (Sergiquímica Ind. de Aditivos/Serviços; Agropecuária Santa Sara; Cooperativa COOPAIBA; SergiSucos; and Institute of Technology and Research, among others). In his history and current condition, he has the role of Area Coordinator of the Prog Commission. PIBITI Scholarship Institution (COMPIBITI/UFS), biennia 2015-17 (Coord.), 2017-19 (Vice Coord.) and 2021-23 (Coord.), with responsibilities for disseminating products and processes important to society; also as Area Coordinator of the Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer Commission (COMPITEC/UFS), biennia 2015-17 (Coord.), 2017-19 (Vice Coord.), 2023-25;(Coord./current), with duties regarding research policies, innovation, intellectual property, and dissemination of IP culture throughout the institution. Regarding your Participation in a Technological/Innovation Project_ 33 Projects as Coord. or active member of international (FCT/Portugal, CAPES/MES-Brasil-Cuba), national (PETROBRÁS, CNPq, FINEP, CAPES) or regional (BANESE, FAPITEC/SE) funding bodies, in addition to participating in the organization of events, as Coordinator. or active member.
