Bachelor in Physics, by the University of São Paulo (1990), MSc in Physics by the University of São Paulo (1993) and PhD By the Instituto de Física Teórica, São Paulo (1997). Has three post doctoral stages: The first at the Institute of Physics of the University of São Paulo (1997-1998), the second at the Queen Mary and Westfield College, London (2001-2002) and the third at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (2013-2014). Now, he is Cathedratic professor at the Federal University of Santa Catarina, Brazil. His areas of research are Algebra and Mathematical Physics, with concentration in Hopf algebras, Monoidal Categories, Noncommutative Geometry and Operator Algebras. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
