She is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physiology and Pathology, São Paulo State University (Unesp), School of Dentistry, Araraquara-SP, Brazil. She has experience in Physiology, with emphasis on Physiology of Organs and Systems, with the following research interests: neurohormonal modulation of physiological processes; neurobiology of thirst and salt appetite, palatability; ingestive behavior. Different neurotransmitters and receptors present in the lateral parabrachial nucleus (LPBN) affect the activity of inhibitory mechanisms of this area.
