Renata Maria Moschen Nascente

Renata Maria Moschen Nascente holds a bachelor's degree in History from UNESP (Franca-SP, 1986), a master's (2000) and a Ph.D. (2004) in School Education from UNESP (Araraquara-SP), and completed postdoctoral studies in Education at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio). She worked as a teacher in municipal (Campinas, SP), state (Campinas and São Carlos, SP), and private (São Carlos, SP) school systems, teaching at the elementary and high school levels (19872005). She also taught in public higher education (UFSCar, 1999) and private institutions (Centro Universitário Central Paulista São Carlos, 20032012), at both undergraduate and graduate levels. She served as a school principal (São Paulo-SP, 2008) and as a supervisor in the São Paulo state school system (Araraquara-SP, 20092012). She is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Education at the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar), where she teaches in both on-campus and distance-learning Pedagogy programs. She has held several leadership roles, including Vice Coordinator (2013), Coordinator of the On-Campus Pedagogy Program (20142017), and Vice Chair of the Department of Education (20212023). She is the coordinator of the specialization course Enhancing School Climate and Strengthening Distributed Leadership in Basic Education Schools and the Vice Coordinator of the Graduate Program in Education at UFSCar. Her research interests and areas of expertise include: Educational and school administration and organization; Training of school administrators; School leadership; School climate and democratic management in public schools. She leads the Study and Research Group on School Organization: Democracy, Human Rights, and Training of School Administrators (Deforges), registered in the CNPq Research Groups Directory and certified by UFSCar.
