Lucimar Pereira de França

Graduated in Biological Sciences with Degree in Science and Mathematics from the University Braz Cubas (1988) and a degree in Pedagogy from Camilo Castelo Branco University (1995); Master in Health Sciences (Molecular Biology) from the Federal University of São Paulo - UNIFESP - Paulista School of Medicine - EPM (1999); Doctorate in Science with Emphasis on Biophysics and Molecular Biology from the Federal University of São Paulo - Paulista School of Medicine, Unifesp_EPM, 2003, where he also held postdoctoral in Biophysics, 2005. He is a full professor of biophysics at the State University of Santa Cruz (UESC ) Being coordinator of the Cellular and Molecular Biophysics Laboratory. It also acts as a teacher of biophysics and as a tutor in medical education by the PBL modality. Currently develops research with bioprospecting of Caatinga Medicinal Plants and Atlantic Forest to evaluate biological activity such as antioxidant, antimicrobial and antitumoral potential as well as the identification of cell signaling by apoptosis in tumor cells.
