Obtained a B.S. in Pharmeutical Sciences from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil, in 2001. Completed, in 2003, a Master Degree Program in Sciences with focus on Pharmacology at the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil. In 2008, received a PhD degree also in Sciences (area: Pharmacology) from the same University (University of Sao Paulo). As a Pos-doc, was first trained in cerebral microvasculature and risk factors for cardiovascular disease at the Louisiana State University Health, in Shreveport, Louisiana, USA, from 2008 to 2011, and after that, from 2011 up to 2014, worked as a Pos-doc back at the University of Sao Paulo, this turn in the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, studing the therapeutical and toxicological effect of different nanoparticles in mice. Worked as a Young Investigator in the Institute of Biomedical Sciences (IBS) from the same University (University of Sao Paulo) from 2015 to 2019, and today works as assistant professor in the IBS-University of Sao Paulo. He studies the pharmacological effect of nanoparticles on brain disorders. HIs main interest areas are: microcirculation, nanomedicines, glioblastoma, ischemic stroke, and cerebral inflammation.
