In this project I present the subjects in which i intend to work under professor Marina Vachkovskaia s supervision. These subjects cover recent research areas in Probability, such as dependent percolation models on Zd, and topics in random walks. In this project we present the (polynomially) correlated percolation models we would like to study and the methods we intend to employ to extract meaningful results about them. Our main goal will be the development of useful decoupling inequalities for each of these models. Among these models are the random interlecaments process, the cylinder percolation and the loop percolation.
We intend to study several random walk models and other random systems on graphs. The first model is a simple random walk on discrete torus, where we pretend to study the asymptotics of the cover time. Also, we plan to study asymptotic shape in some growth models. (AU)
