The dictionary contains 13,500 Libras signs, each in its corresponding lexical entry. Each entry contains: (1) glosses corresponding to the sign in both Portuguese and English; (2) the definition of the meaning of the sign and glosses; (3) sign meaning illustrations; (4) sign form illustration; (5) sign form description; (6) examples of adequate use of glosses and sign; (7) specification of scope of geographic validity of each sign (Brazilian states where they are in full use); (8) SignWriting rendition of each sign form; (9) analysis of sign morphology (specification of molar and molecular morphemes contained in it) that permits recognizing semantic relationships among different signs and relate to corresponding morphemes in sign structure and gloss structure; (10) sign etymology (e.g., Paradise metro station refers to the act of biting an apple); (11) sign iconicity; (12) gloss fingerspelling in the brand new Capovilla-Raphael handshape font. All sign meaning illustration has also been assessed with respect to their corresponding iconicity and name agreement (univocity) so as to increase links among semantic and pictorial and sematosemic representations.
