Katia Tannous

She is graduated in Chemical Engineering at University of Caxias do Sul (1985 ), Masters in Chemical Engineering at University of Campinas (1989 ) and Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering at Institut National Polytechnique de Toulouse (1993 ). She conducted post- doctorate at the University of Waterloo in 2000 on the topic of polymerization of polyethylene using metallocene catalyst. In 2004, he became expert in distance education and training of human resources at PUC - Campinas. In 2010 and 2012, she made post-doctoral internships at University of British Columbia, where she worked with flow ability, storage, and fluid dynamics in fluidized beds using different types of biomass. She is currently associate professor (MS - 5.2) at University of Campinas. She has experience in Chemical Engineering, with emphasis in industrial operations, working mainly with the fluidization technology applied in food, drugs and biomass (energy). Also, developing work in the area of distance education linking software and web environment. New methodologies and techniques in engineering education are developed and applied in undergraduate and graduate programs at Unicamp. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
