André Figueiredo Rodrigues

André Figueiredo Rodrigues is Graduated (1997), Master (2002) and Doctor (2008) in Social History from the University of São Paulo (USP). He is currently professor at the Department of History at the Faculty of Sciences and Letters, campus Assis, and at the Postgraduate Program in History at the São Paulo State University Júlio de Mesquita Filho (UNESP), where he also coordinates the Núcleo de Estudos Coloniais (NEC / Colonial Studies Nucleus) and is the leader of the CNPq-UNESP Research Group "Paulistânia: território, historiografia e sociedade / Paulistânia: territory, historiography and society". Research Productivity Fellow at CNPq - level 2. President of the Brazilian National Section of the Pan-American Institute of Geography and History (PAIGH) of the Organization of American States (OAS). Effective Academic of the Academia Guarulhense de Letras (chair n 40) and Specialist Consultant (institutional evaluator) of the State Council of Education of São Paulo. Editor of the journal Patrimônio e Memória of the Centro de Documentação e Apoio à Pesquisa (CEDAP) of UNESP de Assis (ISSN: 1808-1967). He was editor of the journal História (São Paulo) / UNESP (ISBN: 1980-4369) in 2021-2022. Vice-coordinator of the Undergraduate Course (Licenciatura) in History (March 2022 - August 2024). He was coordinator of the Undergraduate Course in History from April 2015 to August 2020 (for two terms). He was a member (titular representative) of the Council for the Defense of the Historical, Archeological, Artistic and Tourist Heritage (Condephaat) of the State of São Paulo, from 2015 to 2019. He published 14 books, 24 articles in specialized journals (with selective editorial policy), 31 book chapters, 4 entries in specialized dictionary and organized 7 collections, among other publications.
