Graduated in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Sâo Paulo State (ESALQ/USP) in 1969 where she specialized in Rural Technology. PhD in Sciences from the University of Sâo Paulo State (UNESP), in 1973. She completed all stages of the University career at UNESP, where she retired as Full Professor and Researcher at the National Brazilian Council (CNPq) with a Productivity grant. She was the founder and first Director of a Research Center specializing in tropical starches. For the set of her research actions, she received the Medal of Merit from the Science and Technology Department for her performance in the State of São Paulo and, in particular, received an honorable mention from the Pará Government for her actions on the cassava crop. He worked for over 15 years as a professor and researcher at the Catholic University of Campo Grande, MS, as professor and research in 2 Post Graduate Programs: Biotechnology (Master's level) since 2008 and Agricultural Sustainability, at Master's and Doctoral level. He has carried out Postdoctoral internships in Spain, France and England and technical visits in China, Thailand, Japan, India and countries in Central and South America. She is currently Professor Emeritus and Independent Researcher at the Agro, Research, Projects and Products laboratories where he provides training. Coordinates as Edithor a collection of 5 books in English to be published by Editora Elseviers. She has experience in the areas of Food Science and Technology, with an emphasis on Agribusiness, acting on the following topics: appropriate technology (social), valuation of small producer, food, fermentation including alcoholic fermentation of sugarcane, cassava, starch, food safety and waste treatment and valorization. She works with a focus on appropriate biotechnology (fermentations and industrial microbiology), food safety and social technology. She works with other researchers on two current projects, the development of packaging to protect against natural ininies of pests and the identification of fraud involving starch in food. In 2022, it classified a proposal for solutions for the agronomy sector as part of the Centelha FINEP/FUNDECT Mato Grosso do Sul Project, opening the company Tecsapp Soluções for this purpose. She continues her postgraduate teaching activities with Colombian public universities and when requested in defense and qualification boards. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
