Karina Cenciani

Bachelor in Biological Sciences - Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar) and Master in Agro-Environmental Resource Management - Agronomic Institute (IAC). I completed my PhD at Escola Superior de Agricultura "Luiz de Queiroz" (ESALQ/USP) evaluating the impacts of deforestation in the Amazon and changes in land use on the soil microbiota. I developed part of my PhD at the Center for Microbial Ecology, Michigan State University (MSU). In 2012, I completed my Post-Doc at the Center for Nuclear Energy in Agriculture (CENA), as a fellow of the National Post-Doctoral Plan (PNPD) of CNPQ, working on a bioprospecting project for oil-producing microalgae for use as biodiesel. I have experience in conducting field and laboratory research in the areas of environment, ecology, biochemistry, microbiology, soil management and laboratory analysis. Preparation of technical and scientific reports, accountability of budgets and project results. Knowledge of the environmental licensing process and current legislation. Experience in teaching at the levels of education: elementary II, high school, technical (PRONATEC program) and higher, organizing and teaching subjects, lectures and mini-courses. Between 2014 and 2017 I worked as a Professor at the Faculdade de Americana (FAM) in the technical courses of the PRONATEC program and in the Graduation: Engineering (Environmental, Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical and Production), Nursing, Biomedicine and Administration teaching the subjects: Environmental Microbiology, Ergonomics and Work Safety, General Pathology, Biochemistry, Engineering and Environment, Environmental Chemistry, Sustainability and Social Responsibility. Degree in Biological Sciences - Claretiano University Center of Rio Claro/SP (2015). Experience in distance learning (EAD) and remote learning, using active teaching methodologies. Between 2021 and 2022 I worked as a teacher of technical courses integrated to high school in Agriculture and Food, subsequent technician in Administration and in the undergraduate courses Degree in Biological Sciences and Administration; and also as supervisor of mandatory teaching internship for Biological Sciences Licentiate students, at the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of the South of Minas Gerais (IFSULDEMINAS), Campus Machado-MG.
