Birthplace: Brazil

Associate Professor IV at UTFPR, Campo Mourão campus and permanent professor at PPGTA-UTFPR. She holds a direct PhD in Chemistry from the State University of Campinas, UNICAMP (2008) and a degree in Chemistry from the State University of Maringá (2002). She worked as a collaborating researcher in the Physical Chemistry Department of IQ/UNICAMP (2008-2009) and has a post-doctorate from UNESP (2019) and specialization in Neuroscience applied to learning (2023). She has experience in Chemistry, with emphasis on Chemistry of polymers and hydrogels as bioactive materials, and development and characterization of antioxidant and anti-inflammatory products and PANCs extracts. She works mainly on the following research topics: P(NIPAAm), PAAc, PEO-PPO-PEO, PVA, PVP, Alginate, Starch, Collagen, Albumin, Surfactants, synthesis and functionalization of Polyesters, synthesis of Hydrogels and carrier polymers (films, meshes, micro and nano-particles) and studies of: toxicity, oxidative stress, phase transition, mechanical resistance, swelling, permeability, absorption and diffusion of S-nitrosothiols and curcumin analogues and applications of materials in in-vitro and in-vivo tests. He coordinates university extension projects using practical problem-solving and neuropsychomotor activities and the theme of unconventional food plants (PANCs) aimed at teaching Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and Biology and science dissemination.
