Mauricio B. C. Salles is Assistant Professor at the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo, since 2010. In 2004, he obtained the M.Sc. degree from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP), São Paulo, Brazil. From 2006 to 2008, he joined the research team of the Institute of Electrical Machines at the RWTH Aachen University. In 2009, he received the Doctorate degree from the University of São Paulo (USP). Between 2014 and 2015, he was Visiting Scholar at Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. His main interests are on distributed generation, power system dynamics, control and stability, renewable energy, energy storage and electricity markets. He is one of the founders of the Laboratory of Advanced Electric Grids - LGrid. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
