I hold a degree in Architecture and Urbanism from the Pontifical Catholic University of Campinas (1979), a Master's in Urban and Regional Planning from the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism at the University of São Paulo (2004), and a Ph.D. in Urbanism Theory and History from the Institute of Architecture and Urbanism at the University of São Paulo (2009). I conducted postdoctoral research at IEA the Institute of Advanced Studies at USP focusing on how to integrate nature into cities in pursuit of resilient and healthy communities amid climate change. I have experience in Urban and Regional Planning, having worked in municipal governments, public companies, state agencies, and the private sector, supporting, advising, and developing urban plans and legislation, public policies, events, and capacity-building initiatives for municipal staff and the general public in urban and environmental planning. I have also worked in environmental management and control. I have published several scientific articles and am the author and co-author of books in my field. I am a faculty member at IFSP Federal Institute of São Paulo, in the Department of Civil Construction at the São Paulo Campus, teaching courses in Architecture and Urbanism and Civil Engineering.
