Dr. Moreno has been graduated at the Faculty of Medicine of Ribeirão Preto (University of São Paulo-USP) in 1981, and completed medical residency in Clinical Medicine and Cardiology in 1985. He has gotten master's at Cardiology from Federal University of São Paulo (Escola Paulista de Medicina/UNIFESP, 1993) and doctorate in Clinical Medicine/Cardiovascular Pharmacology in the State University of Campinas (Unicamp, 1995). Dr. Moreno got a fellowship in Clinical Pharmacology (Cardiovascular area) from MS&D Foundation, from 1995 to 1997. He has also been invited professor at Barcelona University (2006-2007; Prof. Antonio Coca - Clinical Hypertension Unit / FAPESP) and Harvard University (2015-2016; Prof. Felipe Fregni - Clinical Research and Lab of Neuromodulation / FAPESP) He is currently Full Professor at the Universidade Estadual de Campinas, in the Faculty of Medical Sciences (FCM/Unicamp). He has experience in Internal Medicine, focusing on Cardiology and Hypertension, acting previously on the following subjects: animal models of hypertension, human hypertension, related mechanisms such as endothelial dysfunction and cardiovascular remodeling, and clinical pharmacology (PK and PD) of antihypertensive drugs. Nowadays, his main line/field is clinical research in resistant/refratory hypertension and its several aspects on pathophysiology and therapeutics of this complex syndrome.
