Karen Sacconi holds a degree in Classical Greek from the University of São Paulo and a PhD in Classical Studies from the same institution, specializing in Greek theater. Her dissertation, The Fragments of Aristophanes, was published by Coimbra University Press in 2020. Sacconi has taught Greek literature and rhetoric at UNESP-Araraquara (2018) and Ancient Greek at the Language Center of FFLCH/USP (2010-2012). Sacconi translated the tragedies Electra and Orestes by Euripides (Martin Claret, 2020). As a playwright, she was part of the Sesi-British Council Playwriting Group (2017) and published Monstro (Patuá, 2021). Currently, she is conducting research on biologist and feminist Bertha Lutz. She has published a partial biography, Bertha: dos anos de formação à conquista do voto (Patuá, 2023), and the article Bertha Lutz e Isabel de Bragança: a princesa no discurso feminista (Revista Insight Inteligência, 2024).
