Birthplace: Brazil

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences (2004), a Master's degree with honors in Political Science (2008), and a PhD, all from the Universidade de São Paulo (USP). Additionally, I earned a Masters in Political Science from UCLA, specializing in Comparative Politics, Quantitative Methods, and Formal Theory. My research centers on Comparative Politics, Political Economy, and Economic History, with a strong emphasis on quantitative methods. My research experience spans Comparative Politics, Historical Political Economy, Brazilian Political Institutions, and Latin American Politics, supported by FAPESP and CAPES in Brazil, and by the Fulbright Foundation, UCLA, and the Lemann Foundation in the United States. I also served as a teaching assistant at UCLA for undergraduate courses in Political Science, Public Policy, African-American Studies, and History. Currently, my research interests center on connecting contemporary models and theories in Comparative Politics and Political Economy with historical case studies. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
