She holds a degree in Biological Sciences from the State University of Londrina (2003) and a Master's and PhD in Genetics from the São Paulo State University Júlio de Mesquita Filho. She completed part of her PhD and postdoctoral internship at Johns Hopkins University in the area of #8203;#8203;cancer epigenetics. She is currently researcher at UNESP in São José do Rio Preto and supervises Master's and PhD students in the Postgraduate Program in Microbiology and Postgraduate Program in Genetics at UNESP, in addition to supervising Postdoctoral students in the area of #8203;#8203;Virology. She has experience in the area of #8203;#8203;Genetics, Virology and Nanotechnology, working mainly on the following topics: studies of nanoparticles as antivirals, identification of antivirals against arboviruses and SARS-CoV-2, detection and identification of viruses in marine and wild animals and detection of viruses in wastewater.
