Bárbara Hatzlhoffer Lourenço is Associate Professor in the Department of Nutrition at the School of Public Health, University of São Paulo, and advisor to Masters and Doctoral students in the Graduate Program in Public Health Nutrition (USP). She received a degree in Nutrition (2008), a Ph.D. in Public Health Nutrition (2014), and a Habilitation in Nutritional Epidemiology (2024) from USP. Bárbara was a visiting scientist at the Department of Global Health and Population, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health (USA), supported by the Fulbright Junior Faculty Member Award and the Institutional Internationalization Program of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (2021-2022). She is currently the Vice President of the Inclusion and Belonging Commission of the School of Public Health (USP). Bárbara is an academic editor for the journals Ciência e Saúde Coletiva and Plos One, ad hoc reviewer for national and international scientific journals and research funding agencies. She is a member of the Food and Nutrition in Collective Health group of the Brazilian Association of Collective Health. She has experience in nutrition and public health, with a focus on nutritional epidemiology, developing activities mainly related to nutritional status assessment, maternal and child health, and longitudinal data analysis.
