JOANA ZATZ MUSSI is an artist, educator and researcher. Graduated in Journalism from PUC/SP and Social Sciences from the University of São Paulo, Master and PhD in Architecture and Urbanism from USP and post-doctorate from ECA/USP. For twenty years has been working investigating, in different ways, the relationships between art, urgent pedagogies and public space. Since 2000 works as a teacher and coordinator of cultural projects and programs focused on training young people, teachers and technicians from different institutions for an integrated understanding of the social, political and educational functions that can be performed by the field of art and culture. She is a founding member of Grupo Contrafilé, and with this collective took part in several exhibitions, such as Meta Arquivo 1964-1985 Space for Listening and Reading Stories of the Dictatorship (Memorial da Resistência and Sesc, 2019), Arte-Veículo (Sesc Pompéia, 2018 and Sesc Santos, 2019), Talking to Action (Art, Pedagogy and Activism in the Americas, USA, different locations, 2017-2019), Playgrounds 2016 (MASP), 31st São Paulo Art Biennial (2014), Radical Education (Slovenia , 2008), If You See Something Say Something (Australia, 2007), La Normalidad (Argentina, 2006), Collective Creativity (Germany, 2005), among others. Since 2012, has cooperate with evaluation teams that develop qualitative and quantitative indicators, strategies and instruments to measure and analyze the results of processes, programs and projects in the field of art and culture.
