Vinícius Jardim is a data scientist with a background in Biology and a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, with experience in molecular data analysis focused on human health (oncology), plant metabolism, and socioeconomic data. During his undergraduate studies, he worked on the development and metabolism of carbohydrates in agro-economic plants and statistical modeling based on systems theory. In his masters degree, he developed a computational tool with a graphical interface (Shiny) for statistical comparison of correlation networks, applied to biological systems and demographic data. In his Ph.D., he investigated the role of macrophage polarization in lung cancer, using transcriptomic techniques, data deconvolution, and machine learning, in addition to conducting laboratory experiments with tumor cell lines. In the professional field, he works as a data scientist at the Renova Foundation, producing reports and statistical and geospatial analyses for the environmental conditions of the Doce River Basin, supporting data-driven decision-making. He has published articles as the principal author and co-author. He possesses skills in R (Shiny and dashboards), Python, Bash, problem-solving, multidisciplinary teamwork, communication, and project management, quickly adapting to new concepts and tools.
