Pathologist, Associate Professor title from the University of São Paulo (USP), Director of the PneumoPato Lab, Coordinator of the PneumoPato Education and Research Program, Collaborating Researcher at the Department of Cellular and Molecular Biology and Pathogenic Bioagents, Ribeirão Preto Medical School, University of São Paulo (FMRP/USP), and South American Councilor of the Pulmonary Pathology Society (20242026). He graduated in Medicine from the Botucatu Medical School, São Paulo State University (FMB/UNESP) in 2005, completed a residency in Pathology at the same institution in 2009, and obtained his PhD in Pathology from FMB/UNESP in 2012, which included a sandwich PhD period at the University of Graz, Austria (2011). He later completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Department of Pathology, School of Medicine, University of São Paulo (FM/USP) in 2017. He previously served as Director of the HC-FMB/UNESP Biobank (20122016), Medical Coordinator of the Experimental Pathology Laboratory (UNIPEX-FMB/UNESP, 20122016), Director of the Multiuser Laboratory of Molecular Pathology, Department of Pathology and Legal Medicine (20172020), Vice-Director of the Genomic Medicine Center, HC-FMRP/USP (20202021), Pathology Residency Preceptor at the Hospital das Clínicas Pathology Service (SERPAT)/FMRP/USP (20192021), Vice-Coordinator of SERPAT/HC-FMRP/USP (20202023), and Director of the Regional and Interior Death Verification Services (SVO-R and SVO-I, 20202023). From 2016 to 2025, he served as Associate Professor I in the Department of Pathology and Legal Medicine at FMRP/USP.
