B.A. in Psychology (1999-2002) and certified Clinical Psychologist (1999-2003) from Universidade Federal de São Carlos, Brazil. M.Sc. (2004-2006) and Ph.D. (2004-2009) in Experimental Psychology from the Department of Psychology at Brown University in Providence, RI, USA. From 2009 to 2012, he was at The John B. Pierce Laboratory (Postdoctoral Associate) and in the Neurobiology Department at Yale University School of Medicine (Postdoctoral Fellow), both in New Haven, CT, USA. Currently he is an Associate Professor in the Center for Mathematics, Computation and Cognition and Dean of Graduate Studies at Universidade Federal do ABC (UFABC) in the greater São Paulo area, Brazil. He is the Director of Outreach of the National Institute for Science and Technology on Behavior, Cognition and Teaching. He has extensive experience in psychology and neuroscience, with the use of different techniques in experimental psychology, animal models of behavior, electrophysiology, and neuropharmacology. Research topics include timing, stimulus control, executive control, and neuroscience and education, with humans and non-human subjects. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
