He has a bachelor's degree (UNESP), master's degree (UNICAMP) and doctorate (UNICAMP) in Food Engineering and pedagogical complementation for Professional Education from the University of Southern Santa Catarina. In 2022 he served as Scientific Assistant at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zürich (ETHZ) linked to the Environmental Policy Laboratory (EPL). She currently works as a Research Associate in the research group led by Prof. Rachael Garrett at the University of Cambridge. In Brazil he is an adjunct professor at the Federal University of Mato Grosso (UFMT) with ties to the Faculty of Nutrition and the Postgraduate Program in Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer for Innovation (PROFNIT). In the area of Food Science and Technology, his research focuses on developing solutions that value non-timber forest products from Brazilian biodiversity. At Cambridge he develops research that studies the effectiveness and equity of public and private policies in food production chains that aim to reduce deforestation. In a complementary and articulated way, he coordinates and develops institutional arrangement projects, involving cooperatives and local community associations, based on the principles of Solidarity Economy and the development of Social Technologies. Some of these projects and cooperatives were awarded the FINEP Awards for Technological Innovation 2004 - Central West, the Samuel Benchimol Award Amazônia 2005 and the Banco da Amazônia Award for Conscious Entrepreneurship 2011.
