Professor at the Laboratory of Systematics, Evolution and Biogeography of Vascular Plants of the Department of Botany of the Institute of Biosciences of the University of São Paulo. PhD (2018) and Master's (2014) in Plant Biodiversity and Environment from the Instituto de Botânica (IBt-SP) and undergraduate (2011) in Biological Sciences from Faculdades Integradas Torricelli. Specialist in Euphorbiaceae and related families (Phyllanthaceae, Peraceae, Picrodendraceae and Putranjivaceae), with special interest in Neotropical groups, among which he worked most intensively with Astraea and Euphorbia. Extensive experience in taxonomy and phylogenetic systematics, curation of biological collections, phylogenetic reconstruction methods, evolution of morphological characters, historical and ecological biogeography. Postdoctoral internships at the Escola Superior de Agricultura Luiz de Queiroz of the University of São Paulo (2019), the Instituto de Botânica (2021) and the Instituto de Pesquisas Ambientais (2022). Short-term research internship at the Davis Center for Plant Diversity (DAV) of the University of California (2012) and a sandwich doctorate at the Real Jardín Botanico de Madrid, under the supervision of Dr. Ricarda Riina (2017). Has supervised four scientific initiation projects and a master's degree, and is currently supervising two doctoral projects. Also working as a collaborating professor, since 2022, in the Postgraduate Program in Plant Biodiversity and Environment of the Instituto de Pesquisas Ambientais. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
