CENTRO ESTUDOS CARBONO AGRICULTURA TROPICAL/USP  (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal)
Birthplace: Brazil

Ph.D. in Crop Science from the Luiz de Queiroz College of Agriculture (Esalq/USP, 2025), where he also completed his M.Sc. (2020) and B.Sc. in Agronomy (2016), receiving FAPESP scholarships on all occasions. Between 2022 and 2023, he served as a visiting researcher at Louisiana State University (LSUAgCenter) and the University of Missouri (UM) in the United States, contributing to sugarcane and soybean variety testing programs. His research focuses on plant ecophysiology and nutrition, the role of cover crops, and root system functioning within the context of regenerative agriculture. In parallel, he develops studies on modeling genotype environment (GE) interactions, envirotyping, and genetic gain estimation applied to crop breeding programs. He also collaborates with private companies as a scientific consultant, applying his expertise in experimental design, statistical analysis, and sustainable agriculture. He is currently a postdoctoral fellow funded by FAPESP at the Center for Research on Carbon in Tropical Agriculture (CCARBON/USP), Esalq/USP, investigating the multifunctionality of cover crops for regenerative agriculture and bioenergy in tropical agroecosystems, with a focus on agronomic practices, biofuel production, soil health, and carbon sequestration.
