Baute is a specialist in twentieth and twenty-first centuries Intellectual History and has an interest in the following subjects: Raymond Williams, Circulation of Ideas, Epistemology, Cultural Materialism, Marxism, New Left, Latin American Cultural Criticism, History of the Social Sciences in Argentina and Brazil and Sociology of Translation.
