Dr. Carlos holds a Bachelors degree in Physics from the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar), a Masters degree in Physics from the São Carlos Institute of Physics (IFSC-USP) at the University of São Paulo, and a Ph.D. in Physics, also from IFSC-USP, which included a research stay at Université Côte dAzur in Nice, France. He conducted postdoctoral research in the Department of Physics at UFSCar (DF-UFSCar) and later at ETH Zurich, Switzerland. He has served as a substitute professor at DF-UFSCar and is currently a visiting researcher at the same department. His research focuses on long-range optical interactions in cold atomic systems.
