Birthplace: Brazil

Postdoctoral Fellow (FAPESP) at the Institute of Biology at UNICAMP, working in the Aging Biology Laboratory under the supervision of Prof. Marcelo A. Mori and co-supervision of Prof. Mark Febbraio. The project "Antitumor Mechanisms of Exercise-Induced Extracellular Vesicles in Breast Cancer: Potential Role of Adipose Tissue miRNAs" is being developed in collaboration with the Center for Studies in Exercise and Oncology (CEEO) at CAISM-UNICAMP. Academic background includes a Bachelors degree in Physical Education from the University of Campinas (UNICAMP) (2011-2016), with three scientific initiation projects and a research internship at Australian Catholic University (2015) under the supervision of Prof. John A. Hawley. A Masters degree in Sciences from the School of Physical Education and Sport at USP (2017-2019) was obtained in the Strength Training Adaptation Laboratory, including a sandwich master's period at Australian Catholic University (2018-2019), also under the supervision of Prof. John A. Hawley. A PhD in Sciences from the School of Physical Education and Sport at USP was completed, focusing on the project "Effects of Combined Training on the Expression of Circulating miRNAs in Women with Breast Cancer before Treatment", in partnership with CAISM-UNICAMP. A research internship abroad at Monash University was conducted under the supervision of Prof. Mark Febbraio. Research activities focus on the intersection of physical exercise, molecular biology, and oncology, with emphasis on epigenetic mechanisms and cell communication mediated by extracellular vesicles and miRNAs. Experience includes the investigation of the effects of physical exercise on breast cancer, integrating molecular biology, aging, and oncology approaches. In the academic context, involvement in the development, execution, and analysis of clinical trials has been a key aspect, particularly in examining the effects of exercise training in oncology patients, with a focus on its therapeutic potential. Research efforts also include the evaluation of physiological and molecular outcomes, as well as the integration of clinical data with translational analyses.Beyond academic research, activities extend to scientific communication and outreach, including the production of scientific content for diverse audiences, such as video recording and lectures on exercise and cancer. Additional contributions involve the development of mentorship programs aimed at enhancing scientific communication skills for universities and companies. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
