Juan Salamanca received the PhD degree in Computer Science from the University of Campinas (UNICAMP), São Paulo, Brazil, in 2017. He worked as a visiting scholar in the Computing Science Department at the University of Alberta (UofA). He was a post-doctoral researcher at the São Paulo State University (UNESP, Brazil) and a visiting researcher at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC, Spain), supported in both by the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP). He is a researcher with UNICAMP, Brazil. His research interests are in the areas of thread-level speculation, transactional memory, parallel programming, deep-learning acceleration, RISC-V, and code optimization.
