He was Research Scientist at Embrapa Cassava & Fruits from 2006 to 2020. Researcher and coordinator for Latin America and the Caribbean of the Commodities Systems & Genetic Resources Program of Bioversity International (2010-2013). He is currently Senior Scientist on Plant Health at Bioversity International, based at the International Center for Tropical Agriculture - CIAT, in Cali, Colombia. Has experience in Tropical Agriculture with emphasis on management of plant diseases. His areas of interest are: Plant and soil health, Plant-Microorganism Interactions; Disease Resistance in Plants, Management of Soil Pathogens and Use of Agrobiodiversity for Designing and Management of Sustainable Food Systems.
