Associate Professor at the Clinical Hospital - Medical School - University of São Paulo (2001 to 2004). Department of Surgery Director of the Heart Institute of the Federal District - Zerbini Foundation (since its implementation in 2003 at the end of its activities in April 2009). Technical Director (2008) and President of the Board of Directors (2008) of the Heart Institute of the Federal District - Zerbini Foundation. Currently: staff surgeon Unit of Pediatric Cardiovascular Surgery - Division of Cardiovascular Surgery - Heart Institute - Hospital das Clinicas - University of São Paulo Medical School (InCor-HC-FMUSP) and Affiliate Professor of the Department of Cardiopneumology, Medical School, University of Sao Paulo and ECMO Center (276) ELSO - Director. Main interests: Pediatric Cardiac Surgery, Adults with Congenital Heart Diseases (GUCH), Heart Transplant and Mechanical Cardiac Support Working mainly in the following subjects: health policies in pediatric cardiovascular surgery, quality program and training of personnel in cardiovascular surgery, database in surgery cardiovascular, ECMO, mechanical circulatory support (artificial ventricle) and pediatric cardiac transplantation.
