Fernanda Quaglio

Full professor of the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology of the Federal University of São Paulo, campus Diadema, SP, Brazil. Founder of the MaternaCiência, GeoMamas, member of the E&O group of the Paleontological Society, and representant APECS international in the SCAR SSG-LS. Professor of the graduation course on Geology of the Federal University of Uberlândia, campus Monte Carmelo, MG, Brazil (2016-2018), scientific coodinator of APECS-Brazil (2014-2018) and Post-Doc researcher in the Institute of Geosciences and Exact Sciences of the State University of São Paulo (2017), IGCE, Universidade Estadual Paulista, campus Rio Claro. Bachelor's in Life Sciences (Ciências Biológicas) from Universidade de São Paulo (2003), master's in Geology (Sedimentary Geology) from Universidade de São Paulo (2007) and doctorate in Geology (Geotectonics) from Universidade de São Paulo (2013). Paleontologist, experienced in taxonomy, paleobiogeography and taphonomy of bivalves and other macroinvertebrates, including Cenozoic of Antarctica, Cretaceous of Araripe Basin, Permian of Parana Basin and Falkland Islands, and Ediacaran of Brazil and Argentina. The main research interests are focused on paleogeography, related to the past faunal response following tectonic and climate changes, as well as distribution of taphonomic preservational styles in the regional stratigraphy.
